The Kraken app now shows a mystery reward of $45 to $350 CAD for both people, after a cash deposit and $200 CAD of crypto. Kraken's help article still describes a fixed $20 bonus; the app's offer is the one that applies.

The Coinbase app says the $30 CAD bonus arrives about 48 hours after the first transaction. In September, the wait was 5 to 15 days.
October 27, 2026Shakepay
Shakepay updated its rewards terms. The referral bonus stays at $20 each for sign-ups since March 7, 2024.
October 8, 2026Kraken
Kraken's help article switched to a fixed $20 bonus in your local currency (CA$20 of BTC in Canada).
March 7, 2024Shakepay
Shakepay raised the referral bonus to $20 each. Between February 2023 and March 2024 it was $5.
